Wishing on a Train is Ed Randazzo's fourth studio album and his first album of brand-new material since 2015's "If You Don't Bring Me Joy (Be on Your Way)." It was produced by longtime friend and mentor Bret Alexander at his Saturation Acres studio in Dupont, Pennsylvania, with additional production by Paul Smith at Eight Days a Week in Northumberland, Pennsylvania—both founding members of the acclaimed Central Pennsylvania band, The Badlees.

A note from Ed:

The album has roots dating back to 2014, but the pieces and parts began taking shape in early 2022 with my need to write again. I quickly realized that these songs would help me rediscover my innocence in a world that can be harsh and unforgiving.

The thread running through the songs is my search for healing as a wounded adult. This record is a blend of emotions: blunt, tormented, and balanced by moments of empathy and redemption. My voice is the headlamp, and the Blues serve as the vehicle that helped me reach an all-encompassing destination within the record's context.

I chose the train as my vehicle for this journey, as it is a vital link to my childhood. Like life, it took me up, over, and through the whiplash terrain of deep, painful trenches—sometimes sending me to the summit heights of unmistakable joy and back again.
